Support and contact

App: Ayuda Peregrina (com.marianozorrilla.peregrinos) · Controller: Mariano Zorrilla · Last updated: 17 September 2026

Are you walking right now and need help? Do not write to us: use the Pedir ayuda button in the app. That request goes to your church's organisers, who are the people out on the road with you.

This page is for questions about how the app works.

Getting started

If you are a pilgrim

You do not need to create an account or remember a password. Your church gives you a credential — an NFC wristband or a QR code — and that credential is your way in.

  1. Download the app and open it.
  2. Hold the wristband to your phone, or scan the QR code your organiser shows you.
  3. That is it. You will see your own card, the route, and the button to ask for help.

If you are an organiser

Organiser accounts are created by another organiser from inside the app: there is no public sign-up. If you do not have one, ask whoever administers your church.

  1. Sign in with your email and password, in the app or at app.ayuda-peregrina.org.
  2. Pick your church and its pilgrimage.
  3. From there you add pilgrims, build the route, and see who needs help.

Common problems

The wristband will not read

My position is not updating

«An organiser session is already open on this phone»

A phone holds one session at a time. Sign the previous one out from the app and come back in with your credential or your account.

«This credential is not registered»

The wristband is not linked to any record yet, or it was freed when an earlier record was deleted. Your organiser can link it in a moment from the app.

I cannot sign in as an organiser

Accounts are created by an organiser from inside the app; there is no sign-up and no automatic password recovery. Ask whoever administers your church to issue you a new password.

Asking for help during the pilgrimage

On your pilgrim screen, the Ayuda card opens a request in two taps: you pick the reason — health, something lost, being disoriented, or something else — and add anything you want to say. The request appears immediately on your church's organisers' screen, next to your position, and stays open until somebody attends to it.

Your data

What is recorded, what for, and who sees it is set out in our Privacy Policy. You can delete your account or your pilgrim record yourself from the app, following the steps in Delete your data.

Write to us

If none of the above solves it, write to us. Tell us which phone you use, whether you are a pilgrim or an organiser, and what you were doing when the problem happened; that is usually enough to settle it in one reply.

privacy@ayuda-peregrina.org

We answer within 5 business days at the latest, and usually much sooner. Bear in mind that we are not on the road: during the pilgrimage, the people who can actually help you are your church, through the help button in the app.
